What made you
decide to expand your services to the field of Bridal hair?
I have in fact been doing bridal hair for several years, as
many of my regular and celebrity clients have ultimately
become brides! I wouldn't say that I have actively expanded
my services in this field but as my regular clients love my
work, have confidence in my abilities and share such a great
relationship with me, its only natural that I would be their
first choice to make them look stunningly gorgeous on the
most special day of their lives.
How important is the
hairstyle in achieving that wow factor for the bride on her
big day?
I would say that the hair design is of paramount importance
for the bride to look stunning on the biggest day of her
life, when ALL eyes will be on her! I believe in the "Total
Look" and without a fantastic hairstyle, even the best
makeup artist or the most wonderful outfit wont give you
that "WOW factor" that all brides seek. For the
wedding ceremony, the bridal hairstyle has to have the
correct height for the veil to drape beautifully over her
head and compliment her beautiful and traditional outfit,
whereas for the reception, the hairstyle can be more, chic,
sexy and daring..

How
soon should a bride get in touch with you once she has
decided to get married?
As soon as the word is out! YES! I would want her to
book a consultation with me as soon as possible so that
I can get to know her and start executing the perfect
plan that coordinates her hair, outfit and makeup. .
Allowing for ample time between our first meeting and
her wedding will enable me to see whether she needs to
grow her hair, shape it, colour it or undergo treatments
to make it look more healthy & shiny, so the perfect
look can be accomplished in time for her big day. As
with many things in life, ample planning produces
stunning results and executing great hairstyles are no
exception. |
You
have pioneered the concept of "Total Look" which
has defined the image of countless celebrities. What
implications does this have for brides that come to you?
The Total Look is something that applies to all my clients,
not just celebrities and it comes into play right from the
moment that a bride comes to me for a trial: It involves
assessing her as a person, gauging her personality and
individual style and then creating a fantastic "Total
Look" for her. This includes deciding on a hairstyle
for her, based on her face, shape, face structure and
personality as well as the type of wedding function it is
required for, but also includes advice on choosing the
perfect outfit, make up and jewelry and showing her how
these should be worn in the most flattering manner. .
